About Us

We design handcrafted prints that take inspiration from nature, travel, and art history, and are infused with joy and nostalgia. Based on the coast of New England, we apply our unique prints to textile products for people and pets.

All of our prints began in a sketchbook or on an easel and are designed by Jen Jacobsen. Jen uses traditional drawing and painting media combined with today’s technology to create original surface patterns.

Kibby

Our namesake, Dr. Richard “Kibby” Kibble, is a four-year-old beagle-mix who was rescued from a kill shelter as a puppy. He is a best friend to everyone he meets and the most intuitive, emotive dog—he even happy cries! Everyday Kibby expresses pure happiness and jubilant excitement. We strive to capture Kibby’s vibrant spirit in our prints and spread his cheer. Kibby enjoys walks on the beach, zoomies, and all treats.

Jen

Our founder and designer, Jen Jacobsen, splits her time between the New Hampshire seacoast and Saratoga Springs, New York. Jen previously spent her career as an American Art specialist at international auction houses in New York City. In 2022, after moving to the New England coast with her husband and two dogs, she combined a passion for painting and pattern design to start Kibby & Co. Jen has a degree in Art History from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and has taken fine art courses at the Art Students League, New York and the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence. She’s an expert on 19th and early-20th Century American Art and especially loves the genres of Modernism, Regionalism, and Illustration Art, which influence her own work.
